Last week I started my 1986 240 and quickly realized the power steering was not working and a new warning light was on. By the time I got home (about a mile) my car was overheating. I did a little research and was instructed to check the tension of my belts. When I did that I discovered the the crankshaft pulley is disconnected, just hanging loosely by the belts.
Does anyone have a diagram or a website that they can suggest I look at to further identify the problem? I can't tell if the pulley just broke, what is ideal, etc.
For the past 6 years (until recently) I've lived with a volvo enthusiast who's encouraged me to fix problems with junkyard parts. I would like to do so with this problem if possible.
    Any advice or direction?
    Thanks!!
