1993 Volvo 960 Check Engine Light

    How do I reset the Check Engine Light for a 1993 Volvo 960?

    Is it the light that says "SERVICE" or the light that says "CHECK ENGINE"
    there is a major difference between them.... Service is a reminder that can
    be turned off by pressing the button under the little rubber nipple, the
    other one means there is a problem with the car.

    On my 1990 740 I remove the number #1 fuse (controlling the fuel injection
    system), and have it out for about 5 seconds before replacing it. Probably
    the same for your car.
