2001 V70XC: Can you remove the head unit but keep the integrated phone?

    Hi,

    I own a 2001 V70XC with the HU-803 head unit and I also have the integrated phone..

    I read the article found here (http://www.swedespeed.com/news/publish/Features/article_147.html) and I wanted to do something
    similar.

    I've made two posts already on www.v70xc.com about it

    My main concern is whether the integrated phone is still usabe if the head unit is replaced.
