740 brake servo function delay at low temps

Discussion in 'Volvo 740' started by viktor weisshaeupl, Mar 6, 2004.

  1. When temperature is below freezing point, the servo power of
the brakes won´t be active before driving a few minutes.
Volvo 740 Turbodiesel 1989. Happens never during summer.
Haven´t searched yet for a hose containing condensed water.

    Thank You for any input.

This can be caused by the one-way valves in the vacuum pump or iced condensation
inside the pump and also check the lines from pump to brake servo.

    Cheers, Peter.
