740T won't start when parked on a slope

The latest 'charactor trait' of my '92 740T wagon...it won't start when
I've parked on a slope where the engine is higher than the tank. The
engine starts right up when I park on a level or a downward grade, and
after I move the car to either position. It's pretty obvious that I
have a fuel delivery problem. However, the car runs fine otherwise so I
don't think the fuel pump is the problem. I think I've got a leaky fuel
line and I'm drawing in air someplace (and likely squirting out feul
when the engine is running). Anyone ever experience this problem?

Does the problem occur when the gas tank is full?

If not, I would suspect a tear or separation in the rubber fuel
connecting line in the trunk, at the fuel pump.

    It is a common problem.

My guess is that you have a bad pre-pump in the tank.
