What is the procedure to replace a front wheel stud on a 1989 240 DL?

Can you replace the stud with the front hub on the vehicle? Is there enough
    room behind the hub?

On other vehicles I have been able to punch the studs out while the hub is
on the vehicle, and replace them using the wheel nut and some washers to
    pull the stud in place.

    Thank you.

Yes, there's enough room. You should use some kind of press tool, not a
hammer to get the old one out.

    I believe I'll give it a try.

    Thank you.

Yes, different stud, but the same procedure otherwise.
