  1. Do you actually have sparks at the plugs when cranking?

  2. To clarify, #1 is the third tower, so the order physically (looking from
the front of the engine and counting from your left) is 4,3,1,2 - as James
Sweet described. 1,3,4,2 is the actual firing order but mapping that to the
distributor is complicated. Of course, the front cylinder is #1 and the rear
one (closest to the distributor) is #4.

Anyway, if the order is correct and you have spark, it sounds like you are
not getting fuel. A burst of starting fluid in the intake will confirm or
debunk that. However, since this was okay before replacing the plugs and
wires that doesn't really make much sense.

After replacing spark plug and wires and in correct firing order,
(1,3,4,2 ), attemted to fire it, but no luck. Tested coil and it is good,
what else could go wrong? I don't want to let this baby go, it has 108K
miles on the dot. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  4. Is it possible you're going anti-clockwise? Mike's tower listing
    delivers 1-3-4-2 with 4-west, 2-north, 1-east and 3-south with a
    clockwise rotor.

    Cheers

  5. What makes this confusing is that the towers come out one side of the cap,
which is the top of the cap when mounted. The distributor is on the tail of
the camshaft, so it rotates counterclockwise. Could it be more confusing?
