hi new to volvo and this one has a leak in the washer tank. i can't
figure out the best way to remove it for repair or replacement. it
looks like if i take the airbox out by unbolting the bracket that
connects to the inner fender i can just lift it out. Maybe if i remove
the entire headlamp assembly i could lift it out there.

? is which way does this get approached best? tia

Just remove the airbox, that's the simplest way. Are you sure the reservoir
is leaking? Perhaps it is simply a hose has slipped off one of the barbs,
but you'll find that out once you get the airbox off.

    cheers

Ok results are in for those that may want them. First of all let me
say that access to the tank is almost straightforward. It's a press
fit rubber grometts pull out some elbow muscle is required after
removing intake runner and pipe on bottom.

I got access to the tank, removed the pump, put that aside and the
tank came out of the bracket.

i didn't see any cracks or holes but did find a rubber gromett inside
the tank and it fits nicely where the motor liquid pickup
fits.....hummmmm. lines look good. plenty of crud flushed out, wham
bam back together np, thanks RS :)
