Acceleration Problems Please help

in morning when time to go to work, runs very well..accelerates well. After
I get to work, maybe a half hour or an hour later, I will get in the car to
drive around. Acceleration off the red light causes the car to bog down
some....sounds like little back fires..once it goes through it's back
talk....it peps right up. Why is it fine when I start out after the car was
resting for at least 8 to 10 hours. Why does it not run well AFTER it ran
    well an hour before?

    thanks

    Peter:

I have an 84 non-turbo. It might be the O2 sensor or the wiring to your temperature
sensor. I doubt it is the sensor itself but if the wiring is flakey, that will send
false signals to system. That's all I can figure as it happened to me couple of times.

    Good luck,
