Check the timing belt's set??

    Hallow!
    I've to check the set of timing belt in my V740 with B230F motor. How can I
    do this,..by no invasive methode?? Please give me instruction! :))

    I don't want spend many time of this,..Is any strught,easy methode to check
    timing belt is good or no??

  2. Check on the FAQs either Brickboard or VOC. They are the same FAQs run by
    both in partnership.

  3. The basic way to do it is to use a socket and ratchet to turn the crankshaft
    to "TDC" as indicated on the timing marks. Remove the top half of the timing
    belt cover and see if the stamped marks line up on the gear and the head.
    You may have to turn the crankshaft another full turn to get it right. If
    the marks are one tooth off it will have to be reset.

    One thing to watch out for: if the outer part of the dampener (the pulley on
    the crankshaft) has broken away from the inner part where the rubber is the
    timing marks are meaningless. If that happens the dampener has to be
    replaced anyway or it will come apart while driving. Ours failed when it was
    about 10 years old.
