    Hi,

    got a 740 GLE 90 16valve.

When it gets hot, hot day -38-42 deg C the idling sometimes plays up - with
or without the air con on.

Fluctuates between 1k - 500 revs and then stalls. Also sometimes hard to
start when hot, will crank and start but not hold the revs by itself, have
to rev it for a while and then it seems to click in.

Mechanic knocked the idle up to 1500 neutral and 1k in drive as a quick
fix - still played up one day where it fluctuated from 1500 to 500, and it
    wasn't hot.

Since taken off the idle control motor and it operates fine - apart from
cold start where it suffers for a minute or so.

Question is whether its worth putting in a new Idle Control Motor in and
hope for the best? ie notthe ECU.

    regards

    Peter
