Flame Trap location?

Discussion in 'General Motoring' started by Les and Claire, Dec 4, 2004.

  1. Can anyone point me to a good picture of the position of the flame trap on
my E reg 240GL 2.3 estate? I want to change it before I put the car in for a
tune up. Drinks like a fish and has a monster flat spot at 1500 rpm.

"Why of course the people don't want war. But after all, it is the
leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it is always a
simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or
a fascist dictatorship, Voice or no voice, the people can always be
brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to
do is to tell them that they are being attacked, and denounce the
pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger."

I have no idea what E reg is, but the flame trap *should* be under the
intake manifold between cylinders 3 and 4, it plugs into a plastic box
    bolted to the block.
