Just an update on our Volvo. It's been to the lad at VolvoMax and Frank
agrees with you he's a decent lad. He couldn't fix it and he didn't charge
(as some have done) for telling him that.

He has recommended that we take it to an electrical expert and it's now
    booked in for next week.

I'll let you know the outcome.

I know this is company is not near you but if you contact Simon at

    http://www.dntn.co.uk/home.htm

He may be able to recommend someone close to you if you are still having
    problems.

Thanks for the info. I'll wait and see what happens next week and will use
your info if the next place can't solve the problem.

Incidentally, we were told a new battery was the answer at the beginning -
AA. I'm not sure if we're wasting our money there.

I can't remember what the original problem was now, but if the batterty is
cranking the engine over fast enough and it starts OK then I don't think a
    new one will help.

    Hi Helen

Glad you found VolvoMax, and hope you manage to find out what's wrong soon.
