For Sale: 1989 Volvo 240 DL Sedan w/ 5-speed manual transmission.
Located in Portland, Oregon area. Options include CC, PW, PDL, AC,
PS, etc. Car has 190k and has recently been serviced with full valve
job and valve springs, new head gasket, tune up, fluids, etc. This
work is under warranty for another 15 months or so. AC also recently
serviced and works exec. Some of the many upgrades include Bilstein
HD shocks/struts, IPD sports exhaust, IPD anti-sway bars, alloy
wheels, aftermarket armrest/cup holder, IPD seat covers, new taillight
assemblies etc. Exterior is champagne colored (gold) and interior is
tan. Interior looks virtually new for age and this has been a
non-smoker car. Windows have light tint but this could obviously be
removed by someone if wanted the stock look.

I have all records for this car since owning. The paint is original
and in good condition for age but the drivers side front fender is
starting to fade as the clearcoat is fading. I have installed a nice
Pioneer DSP stereo system but this will not be included in sale unless
buyer was willing to pay fair market value for it. Asking $5000 obo.

  2. We see this so many times...no matter how nice the car, if it isn't
    rare, then
once it passes 150K and 10 years it isn't going to be worth as much as you
    think.
If you'd like an educated guess from someone who isn't trying to haggle
with you to buy it, I'd say it's worth about $3500 - mainly because it's a
    5 speed.
