    hi all,
today when i tried to turn the engine on in my 940, i noticed i wasn't
hearing the one second fuel pump noise. in fact the engine can't be
started. i tried to find out where the fuel pump is, but couldn't locate
it. so i started reading this:
http://www.swedishbricks.net/700900FAQ/FuelSystem.html#Fuel Pump and FI Relay Diagnostic Tests
which says "The 3 main things to check in the fuel circuit are the fuel
pump relay, and the 2 fuel pumps."
good, but where are they?is there a diagram/picture of where to look for
it? what about the relay module?
    TIA,

  2. The main fuel pump is located on the outside of the car, under the left-hand
front seat. (Possibly different there, may be the right seat.) The relay is
a square white (IIRC) module in the relay panel - the exact location is
probably dependent on the year and maybe the country. Either could be the
problem; the relay is a common problem especially if the operation is
    intermittent.

You don't say what year model you have. It's quite possible that you
have one of the later versions with only the in tank pump. The fuel
system combined relay is located in the central electrical behind the
    ashtray.
