The bulbs behind the LED display went last night, or rather, the second one did.

How do you replace these or is this a case of removing the dashboard?

If you are handy follow this
1: Remove the side vent , the vent on the drivers side & the 2 center vents
2: Remove the Torx screws 5 all together
3: Gently pull the upper dash pad up & away from you about 3-4 inches to
    remove the cluster
4: Unclip the cluster then disconnect the connectors @ the top of the
cluster. If you have a trip computer there will be one more connector @
    the bottom of the cluster
5: there a total of 6 or 8 bulbs depending trip computer or no trip
computer. Change all of the large push in bulbs make sure that you get
the 5 Watt bulbs not the 3 Watt bulbs
6: Installation is the opposite of removing the cluster
