Seat belt problem

Discussion in 'General Motoring' started by Pleasantly Surprized, Oct 23, 2003.

  1. The drivers side seat belt will not release from the column so that it can
be lengthened and attached to the clasp. Are there any easy fixes for this
without removing the column panel? Is the seat belt controlled
electonically in any way that a blown fuse could fix it?

Very dangerous, the seat belt uses explosives to tension the belt in case of
a crash, they should be treated with great care.
They are controled by the crash sensor which also fires the airbags.
    Be carefull !
