    Hello,
    1991 240.
What does the JETRONIC COMPUTER do?
And what is the black box that sits right in front of the JETRONIC?
It looks like another computer box.

    Thanks,
    Joseph

It controls the fuel injection system on the engine.
Don't know; what markings are on it?

Probably the cruise control, that's normally a black box that says Dana on
    it.

    The Black box is a BOSCH item # 0 227 400 169, it has a simular
    electrical hookup
sort of like the one on the Jetronic computer. Its a little smaller
    than the Jetronic.

Websearch sez... it's an ignition control module.
