Any reason that an experienced brakes specialist could replace pads on my 240DL ?

For something as cheap as brake pads and as important, I prefer the
best. So do my neighbors who don't want to hear my brakes squeal every
time I come home.

My neighbours have domestic arguments (including beating the c*"p out of
each other) in the middle of the night two or three times a month. They
bring it out into the street and get abusive with neighbours who tell
them to quit making so much noise.

Where can I get brake pads that squeal?

It helps to keep two things in mind: Volvo, being a fairly small car
company, used lots of standard European and even Asian parts in their
cars.

Volvo has used lots of US parts over the years as well. Power steering
pumps and some transmissions from GM, axles from Dana for the solid axle
rear wheel drive cars, etc.
